Adora: Teddy, Have you seen the shots from Tawnie Silva’s last party at the Lemon City Day School? The energy is spectacular; like one of those ‘Happenings’ from the Beatnik and Hippie Era.

Teddy Behr: Yeah…His parties are like those famous Happenings but very NOW, LGBTQ Happenings, and even though we go back to the old days on South Beach, the kids now are still breaking away and creating a new fun paradigm where identity is fluid…kind of like interactive self-discovery. With his art, you could discover something you didn’t expect about yourself or someone else.

Adora: In the 90’s guys holding hands was a thing, but most people weren’t ready to throw gender to the wind. Remember when men skirts came out? However, they were always worn with big chunky boots. It was fun, and chipped away at the old sh*t, I guess. However, Gays were still chasing ‘butch.’ To be who you feel like in the moment and let someone else worry about which box to check on government forms, was a long way off.

Now it’s all blown wide open. It transcends gender. The whole idea that anybody’s SUPPOSED to be ANYTHING (according to some social expectations) is left behind.

We wanted to be allowed to be who we are and felt we weren’t allowed to be. In some ways though, we set-up our own standards of what was acceptable, and criticized each other.’

Teddy Behr: Yeah, new ground was broken and it was liberating, but there was still a lot of focus on being ‘butch’ n ‘buff’ …Which is why I got to doing Teddy Behr. A soft female guy who wasn’t embarrassed to be sweet.

Tawnie’s art, his self-portraits, his masks, but eventually all of it, are a very unified body of work; it’s all very sexy, but in a child-like way that seems ironic, and a bit dark.

They’re about shamelessness; the way children can be about touching, for example. Maybe the series on ‘Dildo the Clown’ is a good example of the way Tawnie s work invites everyone to join in and play; a world where sexual expression and experimentation are what matter, no baggage attached.

Adora: South Beach was cool because nobody had anything to prove, except maybe how funny or creative they could be (at least in the early days). Ego wasn’t in the equation. Tawnies parties, his masks, swings, play-pens where he sets-up scenarios for people to come and play, have that thing too. It’s all for fun. Creatively engaged role-playing. It’s really an art that has a social purpose. It’s not about him, or his masks, it’s about who put the mask on and how they’re working it. So, it’s like taking creative partying to the next level.

Teddy Behr: It’s great to put Tawnie’s personally liberating fun-based work and his events out there. South Florida still has a big and ever growing LGBTQ community. In his own process of self-discovery, Tawnie Silva’s showing a lot of younger people coming-up a way forward. And, it’s so cool the way he’s found a way to be a participating member of our community.

Celebrate the Super Bowl with a Game Plan to Get Home Safely

There were 10,497 fatalities in motor vehicle traffic crashes involving drunk drivers in 2016 according to the most recent data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.  To help consumers stay safe and celebrate responsibly on the weekend of the big game, AAA and Budweiser urge everyone to have a game plan to get home safely this weekend if they are drinking alcohol. This means choosing a designated driver, calling a cab or ride-sharing service, staying where you are celebrating, or finding another safe way home.

For those that did not plan ahead and need the Tow to Go program, it is available this Friday, February 2nd through 6am Monday morning, February 5th.  The following guidelines apply:

Tow To Go Guidelines:

  • Confidential local ride to a safe location within 10 miles
  • The AAA tow truck takes the vehicle and the driver home
  • Free and available to AAA members and non-members
  • Tow to Go is provided in Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, North Dakota, Tennessee,  Indiana (Fort Wayne and South Bend only) and Wisconsin
  • Tow to Go may not be available in rural areas or during severe weather conditions
  • Visit www.AAA.com/TowtoGo for dates and availability throughout 2018

If you are hosting a party, please do so responsibly. Check out the Great Pretenders Party Guide from the Auto Club Group Traffic Safety Foundation to learn more.

“Nobody wins when fans drive drunk,” said Amy Stracke, Managing Director, Traffic Safety Advocacy for AAA – The Auto Club Group and Executive Director of the ACG Traffic Safety Foundation. “If you’re going to be celebrating the big game with alcohol, please plan ahead so everybody wins and your loved ones get home safely.”

“The Tow to Go program is an effective way to promote the use of Designated Drivers and help prevent impaired driving,” said Katja Zastrow, Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility for Anheuser-Busch. “We are proud to partner with AAA and their roadside assistance drivers to help keep our roads safe.”

Since its inception in 1998, Tow to Go has safely removed more than 25,000 impaired drivers from roads across the Southeast and Midwest. It is designed to be a safety net for motorists who did not plan ahead when drinking away from home on celebratory holidays. It is offered based on the availability of AAA drivers and tow trucks during times of high call volume. The Auto Club Group Traffic Safety Foundation provides Tow to Go to help keep all motorists safe from the dangers of impaired driving.

Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler have been co-sponsors of the program since its inception in 1998. Not only has the company provided funding for the service, it has also worked with local bars and restaurants to help educate servers on the importance of not over-serving their customers.

Six Ways to Improve Mind-Body Connection

A lot has been written about the relationship between the physical and the psychological, and how they are uniquely intertwined in each of us. Presently, with the winter cold and flu bugs taking their physical toll in South Florida, and the current toxic US political climate, there is a lot to drag us down and make us sick both mentally and physically. Here are a few ways to rise above the negativity and stay content and healthy in a not so perfect world.

Stay active and exercise regularly!  When you exercise your heart begins to pound, your body releases endorphins (the body’s own natural pain killers), which explains why a good run or workout often leaves you feeling relaxed, even elated. Doing your cardio and working out regularly can be a wonderful way to help you feel better, sleep better and look fabulous as well. Don’t confine yourself to a gym. Go dancing, join the bowling or tennis leagues, take a power walk along the beach…the possibilities are limitless.

Let go of negative emotions. The tighter you hold on to miserable baggage like hurt feelings or grudges, the harder it will be to kick it to the curb. Once again, exercise is one of the best ways to vent and release bad energy that holds you back and ties you down.

Accept what you cannot change. Traffic jams, the high cost of living, a lost promotion at work… sometimes there’s not a damn thing you can do! Strive to distinguish between things and people you can change and those you can’t. Rather than incur further drama, accept them for just what they are and move on.

Learn to make the most of your free time. Know when you’ve had enough negativity from the news, turn it off, and get to the gym! Try a new hobby, visit an art exhibit, seek out an old friend, or better yet, volunteer your time to a worthy candidate’s political campaign!

Don’t be afraid to schedule valuable “me” time into your daily agenda. Taking care of your mind and body are essential to your quality of life. Working out, meditation, going for a run, getting a massage or facial, are as crucial to your well being as making money and getting promotions.

Let your light shine. Be nice, be courteous, be pleasant, it doesn’t cost you anything and for the most part it’s easier than being nasty and rude. You are a social creature, and a key ingredient to happiness is social interaction and relations. Hold the door for a stranger, let someone go ahead of you in traffic, greet people on the job or in your neighborhood.

Mat Staver: Gay Judges ‘Can’t be Fair to Christians’

What I’m about to tell you may surprise you. It may shock you. It may even upset you. But it must be said. Here goes: Judges are people. And, if that’s not enough: Some people are gay, lesbian, bisexual and/or transgender, too.

Honestly, I figured the secret infiltration of human gays onto courts across the U.S. was, well, secret.

But right-wing luminary and alleged human Mathew D. “Mat” Staver, J.D.is on to us.

On Jan. 11, Staver was a guest on a right-wing radio show and was asked about Andrew McDonald, the first openly gay man nominated to be justice of Connecticut’s Supreme Court.

Spoiler alert: Staver no like.

You see, according to Staver, a gay judge couldn’t possibly be fair to Christians who appear before him. Probably because the mere presence of Christians causes an LGBTQ person’s skin to turn red and start smoldering. Prolonged exposure causes horns to sprout and leads to spontaneous combustion.

So you can imagine the terrible scene that would commence if, say, anti-gay cake bakers appeared in front of McDonald arguing that they shouldn’t’t have to bake cakes for homos. McDonald wouldn’t even be able to hear them over his agonized cries while he bursts into flames. And then, before you know it, the court room turns into the very pit of Hell and everybody dies.

No wonder Staver’s upset.

Referencing bakers in Colorado and Oregon who have been found by courts to be guilty of discrimination against gay couples, Staver tells radio host Jim Schneider, “What we typically see is someone’s identity, their being, completely wrapped up in their sexual practices, meaning that — do you think that if you had an Aaron and Melissa Klein or a Jack Phillips bakery or anything else like that where you have the LGBT clash with religious freedom or freedom of expression come before [McDonald], do you think this judge is going to be open and fair irrespective of what he does to rule based on the Constitution and the rule of law? I don’t think so.”

Note that Staver says “irrespective of what he does,” not “of who he is.” That’s because to Staver, a gay man isn’t a human being so much as a series of sexual acts that Staver finds disgusting and considers immoral.

Staver compared McDonald to Judge Alex Kozinski, who recently resigned in disgrace from his position on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals after multiple women alleged that he showed them pornography on his computer when they worked as clerks in his court.

“So, imagine a case coming before [Kozinski], and he’s so wrapped up into this pornography, and [the case is] about pornography or it’s about sexual molestation of someone. Do you think you’re going to get a fair shake out of that guy?” Staver muses. “I don’t think so.”

Since porn and molestation are not the same thing, it’s unclear what Staver is getting at besides an expectation that Kozinski might end each ruling with, “I rule in favor of porn because porn rules [eggplant emoji].”

“The question is: are you going to get a fair shake out of [McDonald] who identifies as someone based upon his sexual practices, who is identified and identifies himself based upon certain behavior?” Staver said.

It’s a shrewd argument: if a judge and a plaintiff’s identity conflicts in any way then a fair ruling is impossible. So we must keep LGBTQ people off the bench. Though if we were to follow Staver’s logic, people who identify as heterosexual must also be kept off of the bench since that, too, is an identity based in part on sexual practices and certain behavior. So I guess the only solution is to have only robot judges.

Thank God there isn’t a lot of robot research these days devoted to the creation of sex robots, right? [Searches “sex robot research” on Google] Oh, wait. Never mind.

Gloria Estefan’s Very Gay Year

Why of course global queer icon Gloria Estefan – subject of Broadway musical On Your Feet, and muse to drag queens worldwide – has a daughter who is not straight.

To close out 2017, Gloria’s 23-year-old daughter, Emily, celebrated – for the first time publicly – her one-year anniversary with girlfriend Geremy Hernández via Instagram. Emily’s snap of the couple was captioned, “Happy anniversary to my delicate, bold, intelligent, important, honest, loving, funny (but not funnier than me), brave, compassionate, patient, badass, talented, and the most beautiful… Moon Flower. I love you.”

Considering Gloria’s everlasting love and support for the LGBTQ community, Emily’s refreshingly matter-of-fact coming out, then, must’ve been the sweet, sweet icing on her pop-legend mother’s already-queer year.

Gloria, who left an indelible stamp on ’80s pop music with trailblazing crossover hits like “Conga” and “Rhythm is Gonna Get You,” starred in last year’s seemingly made-for-Trump-voters, empathy-spurring dramedy A Change of Heart, winner of the OUTshine Film Festival Audience Award for Best Feature. The Queen of Latin Pop portrays Dr. Fajardo (her “alter ego,” as she originally studied psychology at the University of Miami and planned to be a doctor), the therapist who advises Jim Belushi’s bigoted, Fox News-watching dad character, Hank, as he comes to terms with the foolish possibility that his new heart from a recent transplant is, as Gloria puts it, “pumping gayness into him.”

Hank’s youngest daughter, Josie (Aimee Teegarden), also just happens to be a lesbian, but neither Estefan nor her husband Emilio (both produced the film, while longtime Gloria-collaborator Kenny Ortega directed) never mentioned Emily’s own queerness when we met up at a red carpet event at the festival in late April in their hometown of Miami to discuss the queer-themed project – the woke Estefans know you let your children make that statement when they’re good and ready. But they did express, as always, their passion for equality, with Gloria acknowledging – because she is officially Global Mother to the Gays now – “I just felt natural in the role.”

“To us we’re allies because we’re human beings,” Gloria simply stated. “That’s the bottom line. Everybody is a human being. We’re all the same. We always see everyone as the same, whatever their preference is for love, sex, religion, culture. That’s always been important to us.”

That creed extends to their roles as equal-opportunity business owners. Regarding Estefan Enterprises, which comprises their entertainment company, restaurants, hotels and a beach resort, Emilio says, “(Whether) you’re Latino or gay – you have to see somebody based on the kind of work they’re gonna do, and I think that’s happening now. I think it’s a lot better – much, much better.”

Gloria’s life, and career-long commitment to stand for racial and economic justice, immigration equality and marriage equality, culminated in October 2017, when Gloria was honored by the National LGBTQ Task Force (Miami) with the National Leadership Award for being a staunch LGBTQ ally and “for her work to support … the issues that affect their lives every day,” the press release noted.

“Her recent work serves as a testament of her humble beginnings as a Cuban immigrant and as an artist who has always held her LGBTQ fan base in her heart,” said Josue Santiago, chair of the Task Force’s Miami Gala.

Gloria’s gay-aligned ventures don’t stop there: Given her 2017, the singer’s contribution to the queer update of Netflix’s endearing reboot of One Day at a Time – the show’s theme song, advising that you “keep doing what you do” – seems right in step with her gay-adjacent career. Her musical roots are, after all, steeped in queer fandom.

“The gay community was one of the first communities that supported us because we were huge in the clubs and in the gay clubs, particularly, because the gay community is usually a little bit ahead of trends and musical trends and fashion trends,” she recalls.

DJ Pablo Flores, remixer of Gloria’s megahits “Dr. Beat” and Conga,” spun songs she produced with Emilio at a Puerto Rican gay club during the onset of her career with the Miami Sound Machine, when she joined in 1977 as the band’s frontwoman (talk about gay – the band was originally called the Miami Latin Boys). Gloria describes Flores and the gay clubs who took them under their wings in the ’80s as “cutting edge and very supportive of us and our music in the beginning.”

Gloria was spurred to action on behalf of the LGBTQ community around that time, when AIDS took the lives of many of her dearest friends and music-business colleagues.

“In the ’80s, when the AIDS epidemic was huge, we were losing a lot of our top people and people were becoming even more scared,” she recalls. “We lost many close friends and coworkers. I just think when someone is under attack, anything I can do to support them is a good thing.”

In a statement to press, Gloria said, “I feel incredibly honored to be receiving the National LGBTQ Task Force’s Leadership Award and feel doubly blessed that it (is) in my beautiful hometown, Miami Beach. I look forward to the day when no task forces are necessary in order to ensure that each individual is considered equal in every respect.”
On Dec. 26, 2017, Gloria was recognized yet again for her unwavering support and empathy for every kind, becoming the first Cuban-American to receive the prestigious Kennedy Center Honor Award during the event’s 40th year.

Her now-out daughter, Emily, a fellow musician, attended with her girlfriend and performed Gloria’s inspirational official song for the 1996 Summer Olympics, “Reach,” a dreamer anthem with strong ties to people within the queer community. Two of Gloria’s biggest singles, “Always Tomorrow” and “Coming Out of the Dark,” have also long served as LGBTQ lifelines.

“(Gay people) tell me wonderful things, but not just because they happen to be gay, but because they were going through tough things in their lives and my music inspired them to push forward or to stay positive in a situation,” Gloria reflects, passionately. “My fans – I have a lot of gay fans. I still look out into the audience and I have fans from two years old to 80. I have very young kids on my Twitter – young gay kids who for some reason my music speaks to them. Maybe the empowerment, or they use it to get through tough moments. That’s what music is about. That’s what makes me happy about getting to make music.”

Q&A: Porn to be a Star

When Chris Harder left North Dakota for New York City to pursue a career on the Broadway stage, he had no idea what twists and turns his career would follow. While taking auditions, he paid the rent as a go-go boy at gay clubs and later, by becoming a sex worker in the gay adult movie industry.

Harder’s story begins two decades ago in North Dakota, where he was the awkward queer boy who played with his sister’s dolls, proving the road to gay stardom is paved with Barbies. He doesn’t regret any of the choices he’s made since.

Porn to Be A Star is directed by David Drake, the writer and performer of the hit show, The Night I Kissed Larry Kramer.

It was a pleasure to sit down with Chris just a few weeks before he brings his show to Central Florida.

Were you always an actor, even as a kid?

Yes! I think my first role ever was playing a bunny doctor in kindergarten. I’m sure there was some kind of larger metaphor at work! I really fell in love with theater in high school though and was lucky to have several teachers who were amazingly supportive of me and my queer, queerness. In college I also started writing plays and as part of my senior thesis I wrote and directed a one act play called “Steel and Snow” which was about two young gay men coming out to each other and falling in love. It ran for two nights and sold out both shows and I remember just being thrilled that queer people were coming to see my show and that there was a need and a desire for that kind of work.

What was your first professional gig?

I was really lucky when I first moved to NYC nine years ago. My first summer in the city I was cast in a re-staging of Amiri Baracka’s The Toilet, originally written during the Black Arts Movement of the 1960’s. We performed the show–which is a phenomenally written play with queer, interracial undertones–in a park and were continually heckled by teenagers. I loved every minute though. Then, shortly when that show ended, I was cast in the dazzling role of… the Old Sheep in a children’s theater production of Charlotte’s Web. I essentially left New York for three months to play some really beautiful theaters and some very brightly lit cafeteria auditoriums in a giant purple sheep costume. That’s show business!

How old were you when you left North Dakota to go to NYC, and how did you make that decision?

I moved to New York when I was 22. I spent the summer before my senior year of college working as many jobs as my body and sleep schedule could handle and then bought a one-way ticket. I graduated in May and left in June. At the time, I actually was considering staying in North Dakota one more year because I was in love with my college boyfriend and part of me really wanted to stay and wait for him. One day during my shift as a barista, a regular customer who was a grungy, English ex-patriate artist who never combed his hair convinced me to seize the moment and move to New York. I’m really thankful I listened to him and I still have a thing for English accents.

How was it to Go-Go boy at Gay Clubs?

I loved go-go dancing. I did it all through my 20s in all kinds of clubs and gay bars. There’s really a whole other one man show just in those years. I think what dawned on me once I moved to New York was that I could actually be 1) valued for my looks and body and 2) potentially make a living from them as well. It had just never occurred to me that I was one of “those guys.” The idea that people would want me was so foreign, not because I felt ugly or hated in ND, but because I was actually really a late bloomer in terms of coming into my body.

How did you get into the Adult Male Entertainment Industry?

By my late 20s–around 27–I had been go-go dancing and also working as a burlesque dancer non-stop for over four years. I loved both my nightlife worlds but I was also getting burnt out and really, just wasn’t making enough money. Through nightlife I had met all kind of sex workers both male and female as well as porn stars who would make appearances at clubs. Porn started to sound really enticing to me. Not just for the money but also because I was becoming more of an exhibitionist. I also became aware especially of Francois Sagat and his transformation from porn star to artist and actor, and I felt like I could combine my nightlife persona and work with the adult world and sort of become this ultimate “adult entertainer.”

What made you decide to write this show, and when did you write it?

I started writing Porn to be a Star shortly after I finished workshopping my first solo show (#Big Bright Star) in Ft. Lauderdale last August. I decided to take the parts and characters of my former show that I really loved and restructure them into a play that was more of a slice of life of the gay adult movie industry and not just my own story. Porn to be a Star now centers around five different stars, each trying to win the coveted Dirty Dish Best Porn Star of the Year Award. The show still has its sharp humor and also plenty of surprises (and skin), but I’m much happier with this current script. I just finished producing a five-show run in NYC, again directed by David Drake and the feedback and reviews have all commented on the growth and development of the work.

Are you excited to be making your regional premiere in Orlando?

Yes, especially because it’s freezing in NYC right now!

What should the Central Florida Audiences expect from Porn to be a Star?

The main response I always get from audience members who are completely new to my work is that Porn to be a Star totally surprised them and exceeded their expectations. The show has as much heart as it does comedy—a lot of folks also tell me the moment I play my mother is one of their favorite parts. Ultimately, I think audiences will see the gay porn industry from a completely different point of view. Of course, it also helps that I’m in a jock strap!

Porn To Be A Star comes to the Footlight Theater at the Parliament House for one night only on Saturday, February 3 at 7:30 p.m. To purchase tickets which are $25 for VIP and $20 for general admission go to: PHouseOrlando.eventbrite.com.

2018 Monster Energy Supercross Championship Races into Tampa

Feld Entertainment announced that tickets for the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross season are now on sale. The 2018 season will be the most exciting and entertaining of all-time as a new era of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, will change the battleground forever with a revised points system, the addition of three Triple Crown Monster Energy Cup-style events, two 250SX East/West Showdowns, four Supercross Amateur racing events and the elimination of semi races in qualifying for the Main Event.

As the most competitive and highest-profile motorcycle racing championship in the world, Monster Energy Supercross has entertained millions of fans for 43 years inside the most recognizable and prestigious stadiums in North America. Without a past champion potentially on the gate in 2018, the international field is wide open for the world’s most elite athletes to become a first-time Monster Energy Supercross Champion.

For the first time in over two decades, the 2018 season will debut an all-new points system to evenly allocate points over all 22 finishing positions. While the gap between 1st, 2nd and 3rd has not changed, the new points system will ensure that the race to the championship will be much more competitive throughout the season as the reward is greater for a better finish.

The elimination of semi races will add further pressure to qualify as the world’s most elite endurance athletes will have just two chances to ensure a spot in the Main Event through one of two heat races or a last chance qualifier (LCQ). This year, the Top 9 in each heat will qualify directly into the Main Event while positions 10-20 will have one last chance to make it through the LCQ. Previously, only five positions would transfer to the Main Event from the heat races and all others would be transferred to a semi race. Eliminating the semi races will make for longer heat races and last chance qualifiers, allowing for more intense battles on the track for the fans.

Along with format changes, every track in 2018 will have a distinct personality that tells the story of each city’s Supercross history dating back over 43 years.

At each Monster Energy Supercross event, fans are treated to unprecedented access to the sport’s multimillion-dollar athletes, their teams and sponsors while getting a behind-the-scenes look at the daylong, pre-race Pit Party, which opens Saturday afternoon at 12 p.m. and costs $20 at the gate. Or get FREE access by simply recycling an empty can of Monster Energy. Restrictions and additional charges may apply.

For the fifth consecutive year, fans living in the United States and Canada can watch all of the racing live on the FOX family of networks (check local listings).

2018 Monster Energy Supercross Championship takes place at the Raymond James Stadium (4201 N. Dale Mabry Hwy) on Saturday, February 24 with the pit party at 12 noon; the opening ceremonies at 6:30p.m.; and the racing starts at 7 p.m.

For more information on the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, or to purchase tickets please log onto SupercrossLIVE.com, the official website of Monster Energy Supercross, or follow via social channels.

Car Buying Made Easy: What to Buy?

Most people are often very uncomfortable with the process of buying a vehicle and rightly so.  It’s damn hard to keep up with current trends, purchase options, screaming car ads, not to mention the ever-changing technology. Let me try to make it easier for you so you won’t be pulling your hair out in a showroom somewhere with a salesperson telling you “that I have to check with manager”.  So, before you venture out into the car buying jungle and let your endorphins kick in with that ‘new car smell’, think about these three key points:

  • What do you want?
  • What do you need?
  • What can you afford?

If you can’t answer these basic questions, then you are not ready to make the second largest investment in your life besides your home.  Think about it… “I want a Bentley coupe, I need a full-size SUV, I can afford a hatchback”.  So, balance these three key factors by using both emotional and rational side of your brain.

Remember how many times your teacher told you that knowledge is power?  That adage remains true to this day, just make sure it’s not fake news being fed to you from dubious sources.   The first thing I suggest is decide the type of vehicle you need.  Coupe or sedan, SUV or pick up… you get it.  Once you do that then venture out into the wilds of the open road and check out the vehicles around you that fit your vehicle type.  Take time the next time you stop for groceries or meet your friends for a drink to check out what other people are driving and see if something catches your eye.  It’s the ‘birds of a feather’ theory.  If you are at the gym see what your like-minded friends are driving, I bet it will be a lot different then what you might see at the Toys R Us parking lot.

Don’t forget to get free advice your friends and family who are always eager to ram it down your throat (well at least mine anyway).  Ask them about their vehicle, especially if they just bought it.  Why did the choose that vehicle?  Are they happy with it? How was the deal…  You get it, after all their favorite subject is usually them and their possessions. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying all gay men are narcissistic, just don’t ask my husband…

Car Buying Made Easy

On Line Resources and Apps

Now that we have talked about the decision process and you’ve decided on a must-have Bentley (ok Honda) it’s time to put online tools out there to work for you before you race to the dealer’s lot.  Check out these sites:

Here’s an example of what Edmunds can help you with:

  1. Research Vehicles and Features

Not sure what car you want yet? The Edmunds app and website have just about all the information you need, including expert and owner reviews.

  1. Get Preapproved for a Loan

A preapproved car loan starts you on the right foot. You get an idea of how much you can afford, and you’ll have an interest rate that you can then compare to other offers.

  1. Plan Your Trade-In

If you have a trade-in it’s important to get your trade-in value before you go to the dealership.

  1. Locate and Test-Drive the Car

By now, you’ve settled on a few car candidates. You should see them in person before deciding.

  1. Check Sale Price and Warranties

Once you have a target car, it’s time to focus on getting a price.  Call, text or email the internet sales department of three dealerships that have the car you want. The best price will be obvious.

  1. Review the Deal and Dealer Financing

Now that you have a price quote for the car, your big question is probably whether it’s competitive.

Also, some dealerships have credit applications on their websites and you can fill one out. If the interest rate is lower than the one in your preapproved loan, go for it.

  1. Close the Deal

If the price, financing and fees look right, it’s time to say yes to the deal.

  1. Take Delivery

San Francisco Invades South Florida with ‘Mister Act’

Latrice Royale, INC & Peaches Christ Productions proudly present a most holy & hilarious drag-show parody “Mister Act.”

“Mister Act” will star Latrice Royale, Willam, Peaches Christ, Heklina and more at Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale on February 2. This show marks the South Florida Premiere of San Francisco Icon Peaches Christ’s cult movie send-up. Peaches Christ, perhaps best known as the host of San Francisco’s Midnight Mass, created this drag parody of the film “Sister Act,” with the show having already seen sold out performances in San Francisco, Seattle, and Portland.

Drag superstar, Florida resident, and reformed criminal Latrice Royale stars as a struggling Reno, Nevada drag performer who spills the tea after she accidentally witnesses the murderous side of her showgirl “sister,” LeWanda Balenciaga, portrayed by South Florida legend Tiffany Fantasia. Latrice finds herself in the rare position of having to re-enter the closet and hide, but lucky for us she finds a whole new way to express her drag habit after she flees to Fort Lauderdale to impersonate a nun at a struggling church on skid row in the urban ghetto of Wilton Manors.

It seems Sister Willam has a hidden talent for singing and tucking but just needs it to be brought out… her voice that is. When Reverend Mother Christ suggests that Latrice use her “experience” to direct the failing church choir, Latrice embraces the challenge and eventually makes the parishioners EAT IT. Much to the dismay of the grumpy choir director Sister Heklina

(Founder of San Francisco’s Tranny Shack), Sister Mary Latrice handles her choir with ease, featuring NUN other than the talents of South Florida’s own Rose of Boca, Tayanna Love, Joanna James, Elishaly D’Witshes, Kalah Mendoza (your current reigning Miss Florida F.I.), and your current reigning Mr. and Miss Pride South Florida, Judas Elliot and Delores T. Van Cartier (literally named from the film!!!).

“Mister Act” is a huge hit that knows no bounds… until Ms. Royale’s trashy past catches up with her!

It was a pleasure to sit down with South Florida superstar and friend for 20 years, Latrice Royale to talk about her involvement in “Mister Act”:

How did you become involved with this project, and did you attach to it from the very beginning?

Well, this project was actually created exclusively with me in mind and is brilliantly tailored to suit me by the one and only Peaches Christ. A lot of South Florida might not be familiar with her, but she has been doing drag just about as long as I have, just on another coast. Peaches, or Joshua Grannell by day, created lots of parody plays that have included my Drag Race sisters like Jinkx Monsoon, Bob the Drag Queen, Bianca Del Rio, and, of course Willam from my season, who also appears in “Mister Act.” Not to mention her long-time cohort Heklina, another San Francisco legend who we are lucky enough to be bringing to participate in this production as well!

When Joshua asked me to do this, based on my incredibly professional and enjoyable collaborations with him on some other projects, I was honored and thrilled that he wanted to work with me. We were looking for a way and a reason to work together and Sister Mary Latrice was born.

WATCH:

You are now one of the producers—do you enjoy that end of the entertainment field as well?

Being a producer makes me even more proud to be a part of this. I have always believed that no one but you can make your dreams come true. I continue to learn about this business every day, and this is just one of the many areas I have chosen to develop and grow.

When the show travels to different cities, do you always involve local entertainers, and why?

Peaches ALWAYS makes sure to involve as much of the community as possible in her productions wherever they may travel, and maybe the most meaningful part of it for me is being able to give my South Florida sisters an opportunity to shine in a new light. Drag Race gave me an opportunity that not everyone gets, to showcase my talents.  Peaches has never been on television like that, but it has never prevented her from being internationally recognized and successful.

Much of the talent featured in this particular production comes directly from the South Florida pageant scene, including winners of my own Mr. and Miss Pride South Florida. You can’t take everyone with you, but I’m so excited to share the stage with my dear chosen family.

What should the South Florida audiences expect from “Mister Act”?

A brilliant script that reflects the people and culture of South Florida in a way that they won’t expect. I love playing this version of Whoopi’s character, and especially because my hometown audience will be so familiar with parts of my own scandalous past, it will be a really unique opportunity for us to not only celebrate how much we love this movie and the music in it, but have a good ol’ laugh at yours truly. This is going to be a once in a lifetime moment, and I hope to see a bunch of familiar faces there!

Catch “Mister Act” for one night only on Friday, February 2 at the Parker Playhouse at 8 p.m. with tickets starting at only $41.

Seven Tips For Never Missing a Workout

We are well into 2018 and many folks have begun to turn their New Year’s resolutions into reality. Some have launched into new exercise programs, shed extra pounds and already feel energized and renewed. Others have revised long held workout regiments so that they can reap even greater rewards this year. And if you’re one of many who haven’t started exercising yet, now’s the time to get with a program that’s fun and effective for you! No matter which of the above scenarios fits your present situation, the key to enduring success with any exercise program is to make sure you never miss those workouts. Here are a few ways to stick with your fitness plan and keep it consistent and fun.

Have a masterplan. On the weekend before, map out your workouts for each of the following days. Maybe you’re going to weight train 3 days of the week. One day you’re hitting the pool for laps with friends. On other days it’s a power walk or a nature hike. Diversify your activities and make them enjoyable, occasions to look forward to with joy.

Schedule your exercise routine into your calendar. Tell friends and co-workers that you’ll be unavailable during those times. Better yet, drag a couple of them along to workout, too. Try and workout the same time everyday if you can to reinforce the habit.

Prep your meals ahead of time. Your exercise program, indeed all of  your activities are fueled by the way you eat. On Sundays prepare chicken breasts, tuna or pasta salads, chopped veggies, fresh fruit and easy to grab snacks for the week ahead. A sound nutritional plan is as important to your fitness plan as any class or workout. The more prepared you are, the healthier you’ll eat all week.

Morning workouts are best. Exercising earlier in the day is a dynamite way to rev your metabolism, burn excess calories and blood sugar, and ease anxiety and depression. If this is impossible, know that exercise any time of the day is beneficial to your health and appearance.

Be prepared and ready to go. Even if you’re not exercising first thing, wake up and pack your workout gear, shoes, and iPhone armband. Keep these handy and in your car to remind you how vital your workouts are today.

Don’t be OCD about your workouts. Exercising can be fun and habit-forming, but less intense workouts are OK, too. Sometimes you just won’t have time for an hour of weights or a Zumba class. A 15- minute walk or 20 minutes of stretching are also ways to burn calories and alleviate stress.

Commit to someone. Paying for sessions with a trainer or setting a schedule with a workout bud will ensure that you’ll not skip exercising on those days when you’d rather “skip’ the gym.

National Organization for Marriage President Views Obergefell as ‘Illegitimate Law’

Imagine you are in a grocery store parking lot loading groceries into your car when up behind you comes an old man. He looks confused, seems agitated and his clothes don’t fit him right. He says to you, “Don’t worry. I am mentally stable. In fact, I’m a genius.” Chances are good that your first impression will be that the man before you is, in fact, not mentally well.

So when the President of the U.S. taps America on the shoulder by way of Twitter to make such a pronouncement, it is, to say the least, very worrying.

And yet we have Trump, the idiot that millions of Americans were dumb enough to vote for. I didn’t think we could do worse than George W. Bush, but I was wrong.

And let me stop you right there if you’re about to make a “I never thought I’d miss George W. Bush” comment, spare me the nostalgia. I don’t miss him. At all. The man lied in order to start a war that we’re still god damn fighting. Not to mention the fact that he was terrible for LGBTQ rights. Many of the right-wing movers and shakers currently wreaking havoc on civil rights on behalf of Trump were fed and watered during the W. reign.

Like Brian Brown, for instance. Brown is the president of National Organization for Marriage, which was founded in 2007 in order to combat the scourge of marriage equality. And though that battle seems over with equality on the winning side, Brown and his ilk are still fighting.

And Trump has been a real gift to them. Not just Trump, though. Mitch McConnell as well.

Stealing a Supreme Court appointment from Barack Obama, McConnell managed to tee up the appointment for Trump to make in-between trips to the golf course. Which is how we wound up with Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. He’s 50, so assuming he doesn’t eat Big Macs in his bed and watch TV all day like the president, he’ll likely be on the bench a long, long time.

Brown sees it as a good step toward overturning Obergefell v. Hodges, the decision that made marriage equality the law of the land.

“The Supreme Court is not our ruler, so we don’t view the Obergefell as legitimate law, it’s illegitimate law,” Brown said on a Jan. 5 podcast.

As far as he’s concerned, it’s just a matter of time before he gets a “friendly” (read: anti-LGBTQ majority) court.

“[We are] working to the point where we can get another court decision by a friendlier court that can overturn Obergefell. And that may take some time, although one important success over the last year was the appointment of a good justice to the Supreme Court,” Brown said, referring to Gorsuch, “and ultimately Obergefell is going to be overturned by getting a decision to the Supreme Court.”

The thing is, he’s not wrong. Overturning Obergefell could absolutely happen. I once read a post on Twitter by a woman assuring a gay friend worried that Trump being elected would lead to the reversal of marriage equality decision. She assured him that such a thing could never happen because once a Supreme Court ruling is made, that’s it, no going back. Except that’s not how the Supreme Court works. It is a good advertisement for why civics classes are important, however.

Brown and other Trump cheerleaders are very determined. They want to re-criminalize homosexuality and ban same-sex couples from getting married or having children. They want to punish transgender people for having the temerity to challenge their precious male/female binary. They want to abolish abortion. And of course they want tax cuts for the richest people in America.

And they will literally stop at nothing to make these things happen. They are willing to literally risk the fall of Democracy, the failure of the U.S. as a country. They are happy with a dictator, which Trump so desperately wants to be.

The only way to stop them is to throw the Republicans out of office. You. Must. Vote.

Q&A: YouTube Sensation Randy Rainbow’s Social Media Rise

Randy Rainbow is a comedian, actor, singer and writer, but became incredibly famous for his hilarious YouTube videos. In his earlier work, he staged fake phone conversations with famous people by editing real audio clips of those celebrities. He was steadily building a following of subscribers, but his breakout video came in 2010 with “Randy Rainbow is Dating Mel Gibson.”

In the 2016 American Presidential campaign Rainbow gained a larger audience, with a series of spoof interviews and musical parodies skewering the election process and the candidates, especially Donald Trump and his cronies.

It was a pleasure to sit down with Randy Rainbow right before his appearance at the Sunshine Cathedral as part of the Outlandish Fort Lauderdale Comedy Series.

WATCH:

Were you always outspoken even as a kid, or when did the performer in you come out?

I was actually a pretty shy kid. I’ve always had a lot to say but have also always been somewhat introverted. That’s how the performer in me was born. Like many performers, I needed to create personas that would allow me to express myself. My family has also always been hardcore into musicals, so it’s in my genes.

When did you get your first professional gig?

Does my Bar Mitzvah count? Wouldn’t matter, anyway. I didn’t have one. I sang on a horrible children’s album when I was about 11. I think I got about twelve cents for it.

When did you realize that entertainment would be your career?

I’ve always known on some level, but I guess the final nail in the coffin was when I took a leap of faith and quit my day job several years ago. Frankly, performing is the only thing I enjoy and the only thing I’m good at professionally, so there was never really a choice.

What was it like working with two of my favorites: Bianca Del Rio, and Margaret Cho?

Who? Just kidding. It was a blast. Bianca and I have been friends for a long time. We used to have weekly shows running simultaneously at the same gay bar in New York City. Margaret Cho has been an idol of mine for years, so to meet her for the first time on a soundstage and get to sing and dance with her in a fancy commercial was beyond my gayest dreams.

How do you turn your videos around so quickly?

When something major happens in the news, I do my best to get a video up as soon as possible, which means writing, singing and filming all day and then editing all night. I haven’t slept since last October.

I know this is a really hard question, but what is your favorite video (Ok, I will but an “S” at the end of video if it helps)?

Of my own videos? That’s like asking a parent which of their children they love more: The ones that make me the most money, of course! But seriously, if I have to choose, “Desperate Cheeto” has been a big hit for me lately. “Braggadocious” will also always have a special place in my heart.

WATCH:

Mixing politics and musicals has become your claim to fame, why do you think people like this so much?

It’s an unlikely pairing, which I think people find appealing – like bacon and peanut butter. I also think in these troubling times, musical comedy is like a spoonful of sugar that helps the bullsh*t go down. (Am I allowed to say “sugar” in this magazine?)

What’s the best reactions you have had to your videos?

As a fan girl myself, it’s always most exciting to hear from the artists and celebrities I admire. Stephen Sondheim and Dick Van Dyke have written me fan mail, the cast of Will & Grace is always sending their love, and even my CNN boyfriend Jake Tapper has slid into my Twitter DMs to tell me he enjoys my videos. Swoon!

What does the future hold for you?

I have a busy year ahead. Lots of videos to make, lots of touring and lots of fun projects in the works. If my master plan works out, I hope to soon be appearing regularly on a television near you.

What should the South Florida audiences expect from your shows as part of the Outlandish Series

Lots of laughs and free paper towels.

Mark Silver Talks Marco Designer Jeweler

Out of ‘The Outfield’

More than 10 years ago, I wrote my first “OutField” column. The goal was to offer a mix of stories: national events and trends; profiles of athletes, from high profile to unknown, in sports ranging from major to obscure.

I had lots of ideas. I could interview then-NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue about how having a gay son helped him become a PFLAG dad. I’d examine whether the Gay Games were still relevant. I’d look at how pro teams handled diversity training, offer a tribute to a gay former college football player who’d recently died of complications relating to a botched suicide attempt, and figure out why the world needed the “National Gay Golf Association.”

Some of those ideas panned out. Others flamed out.

In the decade since, I’ve mined the LGBT sports world. I covered Nike’s foray into diversity and inclusion – including sponsoring several annual summits, with activists and advocates from around the country – as well what happened after the company pulled back. I’ve reported on a gay surfers’ organization, and a gay ping-pong league (who knew?).

I’ve profiled an astonishing array of outstanding men and women (and some who identify as both, or neither).

Lesbians climb in the boxing ring. Bisexuals swim, run and row. Transgender folks play basketball. Gay men figure skate. (Stop the presses on that last one! In fact, the hook for that story was about fighting stereotypes, not feeding into them – as I just did.)

When I started writing “The OutField,” LGBT athletes were relatively rare. Oops – that’s a statement you’d have heard in the mainstream media. We actually were everywhere; it was out LGBT athletes who were hard to find.

Not anymore. In the past decade, the trickle of competitors who came out to teammates, coaches and (just as importantly) opponents moved from a trickle to a stream. Now it’s a geyser.

First in college sports, and today in high school, coming-out stories are commonplace. Outsports – the go-to website – can scarcely keep up. From the Ivy League and Big Ten to small Christian conferences, on the liberal coasts and in the conservative heartland, every day brings another out athlete.

Their tales have an almost boring sameness. “I was so scared to come out. I worried what everyone would think. I didn’t want to lose my sport. But no one cared. Now I’m so happy!”

Over and over again, that’s the story line.

But the repetition is key. Coming-out reports inspire athletes still in the closet to take what seems like a very bold step. The fact that these stories continue to be told says something about the culture of sports. It’s a changing culture I’ve been honored to report on for the past decade.

The locker room is not the only place where sports culture has evolved. It’s apparent in the front offices of teams, and entire leagues. Major League Baseball made a major statement by appointing Billy Bean – an ex-player who came out long after retirement – to the new post of “diversity and inclusion ambassador.” (He’s since been promoted even higher.) The National Football League is proud of its Pride group, filled with LGBT employees and overseen by the human resources department.

“Pride Nights” – once a marketing tool introduced with great trepidation by pro teams in cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles – have spread across the country. Stadium Jumbotrons routinely feature same-sex couples on their “Kiss Cams.” Crowds cheer lustily.

A decade of writing “The OutField” has strengthened my friendships with LGBT sports pioneers like Pat Griffin and Helen Carroll. For longer than most of today’s athletes have been alive, these women have worked fiercely to make the sports world open and accepting to all. They’ve expanded their reach from the usual suspects – coaches and athletic administrators – to areas once thought untouchable. The column I wrote on a meeting Pat and Helen organized with representatives of LGBT and faith-based organizations was one of my favorites.

Two other important trends have been the rise of trans issues in sports (including updating rules and policies by colleges and state high school athletic federations), and the importance of straight allies (special hats off to Athlete Ally’s Hudson Taylor, and former NFL kicker Chris Kluwe).

A decade of “The OutField” has been fulfilling and inspiring – hopefully as much to readers as to me. Our LGBT sports world is in good hands.

Which is why this is my last column. I do lots of other things besides writing once a month here: I’m an openly gay high school soccer coach, and am very active in our United Soccer Coaches’ national advocacy work, to name two. I’ll continue with all that.

At the same time, I’ll enjoy watching our great LGBT sports world from the stands.

Seven Ways to Make Your Home One That’s Exciting

When you think of your home, does it evoke a welcoming, cozy, happy feeling? Our homes are a personal extension of ourselves. When we walk through the door, we should feel joy, contentment and peace. Although most of us want to experience those feelings in our own homes, we don’t always know where to start in creating this atmosphere. Vänt Wall Panels Interior Design Expert Bee Heinemann shares her design ideas for creating a happy, cozy home this season and beyond.

  • Use Soothing Colors and Textures. Look around your home and take in your surroundings. Does it exude soothing colors and textures that are both welcoming and inviting? A home with soothing shades and soft textures set the overall mood, think tranquil blues, greens, greys, whites and beiges. Choose soft furniture with rounded edges and hardwood floors with soft area rugs. Use soft lighting and candles to produce a calming ambience. The idea is to create a space that looks and feels softer, calmer and more relaxing.
  • Channel Your Inner “Hygge.” Hygge is the Danish concept of creating a cozy atmosphere in your home. It’s a choice and way of life. Find a gathering space in your home where your family can congregate. Put on your wooly socks, warm sweaters and add a few blankets. Light a fire in the fireplace, invite a few friends or family over and play board games or watch movies together nestled up and snug. Keep a good stock of board games nearby so it’s easy to grab a few family members and start up a game.
  • Think Minimalism. Minimalism doesn’t have to mean stark surfaces and owning very little in terms of belongings, it can simply refer to decluttering the piles on the counters, getting rid of items that aren’t special or of importance and getting your home organized. It’s well-documented that clutter causes stress but order creates calm. When piles aren’t building up and everything has a home, clean-up is easy and quick. When it comes time for gift giving or buying something for your home, consider how the item will fit into your home. Will it create more clutter or will it be an investment in your home and family. No matter what the item is, consider quality over quantity.
  • Cook Meals at Home. Home cooked meals are positive for so many reasons—it saves money, provides a healthier nourishment for your family and brings the family together at the dinner table. Encourage family participation in meal planning, food prep, and cooking. Whenever a child has had a hand in meal preparation, they are
more inclined to want to eat what they’ve cooked. Have your family take time to discuss the day, including positives and negatives and bring in conversation starters/prompts for fun.
  • Surround Yourself with Things That Bring Happiness. Material items don’t bring us joy, memories and experiences do. Display sentimental items around your home that evoke happy memories and are reminiscent of good times you’ve had. Think framed photos or artwork, a vase with seashells, a beautiful rock collected from the ocean, a bowl of your great grandmother’s or something you picked up on your travels abroad. Aim for simple displays and not dust collecting clutter.
  • Promote Relaxation in the Home. Make home an escape from the world outside. Relaxation and family time is important to decompress and should be included in every family member’s day. Encourage art together, play music, provide plenty of outdoor time, cook meals together, read, play games and watch movies and make downtime key.
  • Live Intentionally. When you walk through the door of your home, put a stop to the craziness of the outside world. Leave the stress at the door mat. Make time for yourself and for your family, make time and room for love. Don’t forget to say good morning and good night to your loved ones, remember to ask them about their day or to say good luck on that test. Give hugs when you leave and come back home. And take breaks to disconnect from electronics, social media and Netflix.

Multiplatinum global superstar Camila Cabello released her self-titled full-length debut, Camila last week. As one of the first most anticipated albums of 2018, the record immediately captured #1 on the iTunes Overall Top Albums and Top Pop Albums charts. Around the world, it has peaked at #1 on iTunes in 96 countries thus far, speaking to her presence as an international force everywhere.

WATCH:

Among its blockbuster tracklisting, the record includes the RIAA double-platinum smash “Havana” [feat. Young Thug].  “Havana” recently crossed 765 cumulative streams and counting fast approaching the billion mark. Making history, the song achieved “the longest run at #1 on Top 40 Radio by a female artist in five years” in addition to occupying the #2 position on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks and the top three for ten weeks. Having spent 5 weeks at #1 – “Havana” is also the “longest running female #1 single in the UK since Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’ in 2011.” Globally, she stands out as the “most-streamed female artist on Spotify” and “2nd most-streamed artist on Spotify” in addition to becoming the “first female artist to achieve over 40 million monthly listeners.

Right out of the gate, the record has garnered widespread critical acclaim. Entertainment Weekly raved, “Camila is defiantly her own pop star on debut album,” and USA Today praised how, “Camila is a vibrant blend of sounds and styles. In a 4-out-of-5 star review, The Times London applauded its unpredictability—“Like the hit that made her name, it is rather unexpected.” The New York Times dubbed her “an avatar for young girls on the cusp of steeper emotional terrain, and NME called the collection “a strong and surprisingly confident impression.Stereogum predicted, “The groundwork is laid for Camila to be a blockbuster success, while Billboard put it best, “Cabello has vocally, lyrically and impressively established that she was always meant to be simply Camila.”

Get to the Core of the Matter

Most trainers, athletes, and fitness enthusiasts have been talking about the necessity of building core strength for some time. If you have a strong trunk or torso, which is considered your core, you will have increased over-all strength, better balance and improved flexibility. Solid core strength will come in handy for just about every sport, from mixed martial arts and swimming, to golf and tennis.

A strong core begins with good posture. Stand up straight and tall – keep your shoulders back, don’t slouch, pull your belly button into the spine and lower back. Now and then ask your partner, trainer or massage therapist to evaluate your posture honestly. Improving poor posture is like starting a new habit, it takes time and practice, but you’ll catch on if you persevere. You should also notice less lower back, neck and shoulder pain as posture improves!

Developing the muscles of your core will protect your spine and help prevent back injuries. Back injuries and lower back pain are the main reason why people skip out on work and the gym! So, which are your core muscles? Your abdominals including your obliques (your sides), upper and lower back (deltoids and rhomboids), hips (gluteals, hip flexors, psoas) outer and inner thighs (abductors and adductors), hamstrings, the pectorals and triceps to some extent, and a whole host of deeper muscles you’ll never see, make up your core. Training your core should be an essential part of everyone’s program.

Just as maintaining good posture is vital for core strength, so is maintaining good form when you are stretching, doing cardio and especially when you’re weight training. Review your form with each weight training exercise. Be careful not to rush, jerk or swing your weights. Significant core strength can be achieved simply by doing what you’re already doing- maintaining good form when you’re lifting weights.

To focus on the core, start out simply by working out on a Swiss Ball. Exercising on an unstable surface can help develop strength and steadiness in several muscles of the core at once. For example, instead of doing overhead dumbbell military presses seated on a bench, steady yourself on a Swiss ball and then perform the exercise. When performing dumbbell flies, situate yourself by lying across the ball and then do the exercise. There are tons of ways to work abdominals on a Swiss Ball: crunches, reverse crunches, bent knee leg lifts.

Just make sure that you have learned to steady yourself before you add weights to the exercises. Swiss Balls can also come in handy at the office. Throw away your office chair and replace it with one of these, and you’ll be working your core as you work at your desk.
