Episode 7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 10 started out with a Mini Challenge where Ru opened the library, because “Reading is Fundamental.” This is the infamous challenge where the girls get to read each other, and once again Eureka won (this girl is on a winning streak). She then informed the contestants that the Maxi Challenge would be the one everyone is waiting for: Snatch Game.

The runway theme was “Mermaid Fantasy,” a salute to Bette Midler. The top three of the week were Eureka, Aquaria and Monet, with Aquaria taking the win — a six-night stay at the Grove Hotel in Cherry Grove, on New York’s Fire Island. The bottom two were The Vixen and Monique Heart, and Monique sashayed away after clearly not knowing the words to the song!

Q: At what age did drag become an interest, and how did you pick your name?
I was working at Hamburger Mary’s and they needed a queen for the next day. They asked if I knew anyone and, jokingly, I said I would do it. They gave me money to go get all the things I would need to do drag and my drag persona was born. Drag helped set Kevin up in a healthy safe space.
The first name I picked in drag wasn’t cute. One day I was at a bar, and my friends picked the name Monique, and I picked Heart as my last name because I knew I wanted to be a queen that helped people in life.
Q: How many times did you apply to be on RuPaul’s Drag Race? How did it feel when you found out you had been chosen?
Technically, once. And it felt amazing!
Q: Is there additional pressure now that RuPaul’s Drag Race has been on for nine seasons plus three seasons of All Stars?
No.
Q: Tell us about your Drag Race experience?
They fed us well, the production was great…we had no issues!

Q: What happened with the lip sync? Did you know the song or did you draw a blank?
I tried to learn it, but I was focusing on the costume and didn’t get it.
Q: What’s your marital status?
I’m single, and very happy. There is no reason to rush, especially now with this new found fame. But whomever comes, they have to sign a prenup.
Q: Who do you want to win and why?
Everybody black and Aquaria, because they are stunning!
Q: What’s ahead for Monique?
You will see me on daytime television. My long/short time goal is to become the gay Steve Harvey… a sensation to the world.
