June is Pride in many places around the world, and Pride is about celebrating all the strives made towards equality, but it is also about remembrance and solidarity. In honor of the 2nd Anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub shooting, the onePULSE Foundation invites runners from all over the country – and the world – to join in a 4.9K Virtual Run from their own locations. Net proceeds from this event will benefit the onePULSE Foundation founded by Barbara Poma, the owner of the Pulse Nightclub. The foundation was established in order to create a sanctuary of hope around this tragedy that happened June 12, 2016. Cinema icon Jason Mewes, who is best known as the potty-mouthed vocal half of Jay and Silent Bob, the on- screen comedic duo who first appeared in Kevin Smith’s seminal 1994 indie film Clerks will appear at the Orlando improve tonight and Tampa Improv on Monday, June 18. Mewes would reprise the character five more times on the big screen from 1995 to 2006, becoming a sort of James Bond of mid-90’s low budget film—a fast talking, foul-mouthed, over-sexed but ultimately harmless and likable guy. But it’s in the insanely popular award-winning podcast Jay & Silent Bob Get Old where Mewes truly shines.
