BROADWAY – Rock of Ages

This Tenth Anniversary Tour is blazing across North America. Nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, ROCK OF AGES captures the iconic era that was the big bad 1980s Hollywood.  Featuring the music of hit bands such as Styx, Poison, Twisted Sister, and Whitesnake.

COMEDIAN – Joel McHale

Joel is one of the most sought after comedians and actors in the industry. He recently wrapped his twelfth and final season of E!’s The Soup in which he satirized pop culture and current events. He is also best known for his starring role on the hit comedy series “Community,” which wrapped its sixth season on Yahoo after five seasons on NBC. His new show, “The Great Indoors”, recently launched on CBS, and his new book “Thanks for the Money” was recently released.

FOODIES – 13th Annual Taste of the Island

The “Taste of the Island” culinary event in Wilton Manors will feature more than 30 restaurants, breweries and eateries from south Florida’s tri-county region. This year’s “Taste” event offers guests to sample culinary delights and libations in a charming historic park setting. Trader Joe’s, Ethos Greek Bistro and Kelly’s Landing are just a few of the participating vendors. Free parking and shuttle service will be provided from the City Hall/Hagen Park lot

LA BOHEME – Florida Grand Opera

Experience Giacomo Puccini’s lyrical romantic tragedy of young lovers in the Latin Quarter of nineteenth century Paris. BOAT SHOW – Fort Lauderdale

Enjoy Fort Lauderdale’s waterways and sunshine while browsing an amazing array of boats, marine products and accessories at the 59th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the world’s largest in-water boat show with more than 1,500 boats on display.

COMEDIAN – Tracy Morgan

Tracy is best known for his seven seasons as a cast member on Saturday Night Live (1996–2003) and 30 Rock (2006–2013). He was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2009 for his work on 30 Rock. He has appeared in numerous films as an actor and doing Voice overs. He returns to South Florida for one night only.

FILMS – Fort Lauderdale Int’l Festival

This Festival (FLiFF), is a top destination event set at a time of year when South Florida weather is at its best, and is known for its relaxed, casual, fun, and friendly down-to-earth atmosphere. FLiFF rolls out more than 200 American Indie and foreign language films and hosts special guests with meet and greet gatherings and parties.

FIESTA – IHeartRadio Latina 2018

BOY BAND – Boyz II Men

The award-winning R&B group of Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman are known for their tight harmonies and emotional ballads. Their hits include “End of the Road,” “Motownphilly” and “I’ll Make Love to You.”

MOVIES – Bohemian Rhapsody & Boy Erased

Two incredible films come out this week for the LGBTQ community. Bahomeian Rhapsody (134 min Biography/Drama/Music) is a chronicle of the years leading up to Queen‘s legendary appearance at the Live Aid concert,  and stars Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton, Joseph Mazzello, and Mike Myers. Boy Erased (114 min Biography/Drama) is about the son of a Baptist preacher who is forced to participate in a church-supported gay conversion program after being forcibly outed to his parents, and stars Lucas Hedges, Nicole Kidman, Joel Edgerton, and Russell Crowe .

Both premiere Friday, November 2.
